Duncan McDoogal of the storm-lashed Bronzecrest Highland Hold was born beneath the shadow of the black crags of Dun Braegor. Broad as an iron gate and red-bearded as a forgefire, Duncan wields the rune-carved hammer Skullshaker, a weapon said to have shattered the spine of a frost giant upon the cliffs of Caer Morvath. He is a Dwarf of savage mirth and terrible wrath, a drinker of black ale, a breaker of shieldwalls, and a slayer whose name was cursed from the northern fjords to the wolf-haunted moors. It was said he once fought knee-deep in the corpses of raiders for three days without sleep, laughing like a mad god while ravens circled overhead. Yet behind his granite stare lingered the bitterness of betrayal, for his own blood-clan sold his father to the Charybdis Cult in exchange for gold and coward’s peace. Since that black night, Duncan has scours the wild kingdoms, seeking vengeance with iron in his fists and doom upon his heels, while tavern singers whisper that wherever Duncan McDoogal walks, war soon follows.
