Du-Bekar Dwarves - Stoneheart - Wildhorn

They called him Wildhorn long before the rot took the lower valleys, back when children still carved toy stags from pine and the old forest roads still smelled of rain instead of graves. He had once been a warden of the deep green places, a horned giant who spoke more easily to beasts than men, until the night he found the black roots growing beneath the mountains roots that whispered. The thing he dragged back from that abyss became the axe known as Verdant Wake. Every being Wildhorn kills is trapped inside it somewhere, screaming under the sound of creaking branches and distant animal cries. Now he wanders the fog-choked wilds. In lonely taverns they still whisper that if you hear antlers scraping against trees outside your cabin at night, you bar the doors, kill the lamps, and pray Wildhorn is chasing something worse than you.
